The Indonesian national team’s struggle in the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asian Zone will continue.

This month, Indonesia faced Vietnam twice in a row.

The Garuda squad will first welcome Vietnam at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Thursday (21/3/2024) at 20.30 WIB.

Five days later, it was Indonesia’s turn to visit Vietnam’s headquarters at My Dinh National Stadium.

These two matches are very important for both teams because they can affect their position in the standings for the second round of Group F of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Asia Zone.

Currently Shin Tae-yong’s men have fallen to the bottom of the standings with one point from two matches.

Meanwhile Vietnam is in 2nd place while pocketing 3 points from two matches.
